Freedom, I put in a transfer request
There are currently five staff currently on shift at Metrotown, a number that's at least one if not two too high. Over staffing has been a problem here for awhile so I have now officially asked for a transfer to the store on the corner of Seymour and Robson downtown. Before I was trying to get transfered, as opposed to asking to be transfered. However that was going to take to the end of September so I'm trying the more direct route.
If there is still no movement until the end of September I'll try looking for other jobs. With school not a worry anymore I don't need flexible hours as much as I did before. So eBay here I come.
Speaking of jobs Nathan gave me a lead on a blogging job for Engadget [eg], so I applied for that. However the job posting was two weeks old, so I'm not sure if the position has been filled. However if I could get it then I'd be quite happy because it would allow me to cut my shifts back at the cellular store and do more freelancing.
That then is freedom.
